The Famous

Учебный аспект: развитие умений устной и  письменной речи,  умений чтения и  аудирования по теме “Famous people ”.

Воспитательный аспект: воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре  стран изучаемого языка, к своей культуре.

Познавательный аспект: расширение кругозора  и повышение общей культуры учащихся в рамках данной темы.

Развивающий аспект: развитие языковой догадки, логического мышления, познавательных способностей учащихся.

Задачи: активизировать лексический материал по темам «Famous people», «Professions» и грамматический материал по теме «Noun suffixes», учить учащихся читать с извлечением конкретной информации.

Оборудование и раздаточные материалы – проектор, интерактивная  доска, презентация Power Point, карточки с заданиями.

План урока

1. Начало урока. 2 мин.

1.1. Организационный момент.

1.2. Введение в ситуацию общения.                                                                           

2.Основная часть.  

2.1. Работа в парах. Активизация грамматического материала «Noun Suffixes». 7 мин.                                                    

2.2. Фронтальная работа.  Развитие умений устной речи  по теме «Occupations of  Famous people». 5 мин.  

2.3. Работа с текстом «Beatles’ Pride». Развитие навыков изучающего чтения. 10 мин.

2.4. Игра «Field of Sweets and Wonders». Развитие языковой догадки и логического мышления учащихся. 5 мин.                             2.5. Музыкальная пауза. Исполнение песни “Let it be”.  Развитие  умений аудирования.  3  мин.                                                  

2.6.  Работа с интерактивной доской.  Закрепление лексического материала по теме “Famous writers” 4  мин.

2. 7. Решение кроссворда. Актуализация навыков перевода. 5 мин.

1. Организационный момент, введение темы

1.1. Good morning, dear students. Sit down, please. Who is absent today? I am glad to see you again. How are you?                                              

(The students answer the questions.)

1.2. Please, look at the screen.  What pictures do you see? Can you guess the topic of our lesson? (портреты известных людей). You are right; we are going to speak about famous people.
2. Warming-up  

Актуализация грамматических навыков по теме «Noun Suffixes» .

2.1. There are people of different professions among celebrities. Let’s revise the names of some professions. Look at the words and give the names of the professions. Rally Robin- create  as many words as possible using the suffixes: -ian, -ist,-er -man, etc.

2.2. Thank you. And now say what famous person is famous for.

(The students guess the name of the person and say what he/she is famous for).

2.3 You know John Lennon was a famous British musician. In this text you’ll find some new information about him and his group “The Beatles”. While reading,   fill in the gaps. You should do the following task using the structure « ROUND TABLE ».

In previous lessons we have read the stories about some well-known people of Great Britain. Listen to your classmates and try to guess what famous person he/she will describe. Please, boys and girls, come here.
2.5 Let’s relax and listen to the “Let it be”. Try to sing  together  with  «Beatles».

2.6 Do you knowEnglish writers and their books? Go to the smartboard and match the two columns.
